Easily can be made with red rice flour too. Bought my kuzha puttu maker sevaral years ago since I wanted to try making it at home. This was during my visit to Kerala. Kadala curry is basically a semi gravy-based dish made with boiled chana. Puttu is a steamed cylindrical food made with rice flour.
