Oha soup isn't exactly a go-to kind of soup because the main ingredient, Oha leaves, is a seasonal one. The ora soup is best served with any "swallow" of choice such as pounded yam, poundo, eba or fufu. So go for whatever "swallow" that suits your tastebud perfectly well. To prepare the ora soup, you start by washing, spicing and cooking both the meat (assorted meat) and stockfish together.

Instructions to make Oha/Ora soup:
  1. Cook meat with stockfish or dry fish for about 10-18 minutes
  2. Boil Ede until as soft as boiled yam.
  3. Pound until a smooth consistency is formed or blend by adding hot water to the content before blending. If you're pounding, add palm oil so you can pound easily.
  4. Remove beef and stockfish so they don't get soft.
  5. Add the pounded or blended cocoyam into the stock and let cook. Add palm oil depending on how colourful you like your food. Add the ogiri the cooking cocoyam and cook for 20 minutes until cocoyam has fully dissolved.
  6. Add seasoning cubes according to your taste, some blended peppers and salt to taste.
  7. Add the Oha leaf and cook for about five minutes. Oha has awesome qualities good for the body so don't overcook the leaf. Enjoy!
