The ingredients needed to make Oreo Biscuit Modaks:
- Prepare Oreo biscuits (120 gms each)
- Prepare dessicated coconut
- Make ready almonds finely chopped
- Take fresh malai/cream
- Take ghee
Grind the biscuits to a fine powder in a mixer grinder. Take it out in a bowl. Add some condensed milk to the biscuits powder and mix it properly. It is known as Oreo biscuit Modak also.
Instructions to make Oreo Biscuit Modaks:
- Take oreo biscuits and remove it's cream and keep aside. Grind the biscuits to a fine powder.
- Remove in a bowl and add malai and mix well and make a smooth dough.
- In the cream of biscuits add finely chopped almonds and dessicated coconut and mix well.Stuffing is ready.
- Take a modak mould and slightly grease it with ghee and take a small ball of biscuit dough and press it from bottom of the mould and press it with finger and spread it evenly on all sides and make a cavity in the centre.
- Take a small ball if stuffing mixture and press it nicely and fill in the centre.
- Take a very small ball of biscuit dough and flatten it with fingers and cover the bottom of the mould nicely by pressing it lightly.
- Open the mould and your Modak is ready. Refrigerate it for sometime so it gets hard.You can serve as it also. Yummy Modaks are ready to serve..
One by one dip chilled Oreo balls and modaks into melted white or dark chocolate. Shake them little to drip off extra chocolate. Transfer chocolate coated Oreo truffles and modaks on the butter paper. Drizzle some melted chocolate on top of chocolate coated truffles. Refrigerate prepared Oreo Truffles and modak for about one hour.
