The ingredients needed to make Sesame modak:
  1. Make ready 1 cup sesame seeds
  2. Make ready 1/2 cup jaggery
  3. Get 2 tablespoon milk
  4. Take 1 tablespoon ghee
  5. Make ready 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  6. Get 1 teaspoon slivered pistachios
Steps to make Sesame modak:
  1. Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan on medium to low heat. Transfer in a plate and let it cool. In a food processor grind it coarsely.
  2. In a pan melt ghee on medium heat and add jaggery. Let it cook until the jaggery melts. Add in 2 tablespoon of milk and keep stirring continuously until frothy. - Immediately add coarsely ground sesame seeds, pistachios and cardamom powder. Mix it quickly and turn off the gas.
  3. Transfer it to a plate and let it cool to touch. - Grease the modak mould using ghee and start shaping the modak or you can use mould tray to mould.
