Heat the wok over high heat. Add peanut oil and pan-fry the radish cake until the outside is slightly crispy and light brown in color. Then mix in the preserved radish and garlic. Stir until fragrant and mix in the fish sauce, light soy sauce and dark soy sauce, and stir until all the radish cakes are coated with the sauce.

- Heat coconut oil in pan add mustard and cumin. Once mustard starts to crackle add chopped radish and carrot. Add chilli and curry leaves.
- Add turmeric powder and bit salt. Add soaked moong dal and hing now. Close with lid and cook in low flame until vegetables done.
- Now open the lid and cook for another 2 minute in low flame or cook until all the water evaporates..
- When you sure all the water dried add grated coconut and coriander leaves. Adjust the salt and switch off the flame.
- Safe hot with roti or with any rice.
Par-boiled carrots are easy to chop. Heat the kadai and add oil. Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds, urad dal and channa dal. When they start spluttering add dried red chillies and hing. Fry till the tomatoes turn pulpy and dry.
