- Take all the vegetables and pressure cook them for 3-4 whistles with salt and haldi by adding little water.
- Take a wok. Add butter or desi ghee. Now add heeng and mustard seeds. Tomato puree and paav bhaji masala red chilli powder. Cook it for 8 mins.
- Now add the cooked puree to boiled vegetables and mash them nicely or blend them. Cook for another 30 mins. Garnish with coriander leaves. Ready to serve.
This dish can be had for lunch, evening snack, or dinner. I have a little secret that I got from a street vendor to make the best bhaji and you would definitely want to know it too. You can also cook the vegetables in a saucepan. Once the vegetables for the pav bhaji are cooked, mash the vegetables well into it all looks almost smooth and creamy. In this homemade pav bhaji recipe, we have first pressure cooked the vegetables (cauliflower, green peas and carrots), that go into the pav bhaji.
