- Get 200 gm Noodles
- Make ready 1/2 tsp Garlic - Chopped

The key to a yummy veg chowmein is to make the noodles at high flame. This gives the real street flavor to it. Desi style Chinese food, that is. It can't be bland, yet it must carry the aroma of soy sauce and sesame oil just so it can pretend to be Asian.
Instructions to make Desi Style Chowmein:
- (1) Boil enough water in a deep container.
- Add pinch of salt & few drops of oil. Mix.
- Add noodles & cook at medium-high flame till noodles are 60% cooked.
- (4) Take noodles out of water & run them under normal water once. * This step stops the cooking process.
- (5) Sprinkle few drops of oil over noodles. Toss once & keep them aside
- Heat oil in a broad pan. Add garlic & saute for few seconds at high flame.
- At onion, green chilli & ginger. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Keep the flame high.
- Add cabbage, capsicum & carrot. Saute at high flame for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add soya sauce, red chilli sauce, salt, vinegar & tomato sauce.
- Turn the flame medium & toss or mix using folks.
- Serve hot!
We have tried a variety of chow mein recipes, but somehow they don't meet all our requirements: spicy, flavorsome, right balance of vegetables and noodles, wagera wagera.
